What the VA looks for

Persistent symptoms despite continuous treatment
Multiple treatment approaches attempted
Severe heavy bleeding or pelvic pain not controlled
Surgical intervention considered or performed
Significant impact on work and daily activities

Common Pitfalls

⚠Not documenting the frequency and severity of heavy menstrual bleeding (number of pads/day).
⚠Not reporting pelvic pain and pressure symptoms that affect daily activities.
⚠Not filing for secondary conditions like anemia from heavy bleeding.
⚠If fibroids developed during or shortly after military service, document the timeline.
